Vcelku netradičně byl program osmého kola Extraligy rozložen do tří dnů. První tři týmy z tabulky nezaváhaly a připsaly si shodně tři body. Herbadent si poradil s Ostravou, Vítkovice zase s Bohemians, které porazily 8:1. Čisté konto pak udržely hráčky Chodova, když zvládly porazit Olomouc 9:0. V pátek se v liberecké hokejové areně utkaly kromě mužů i ženy Liberce a porazily Vinohrady 5:3. Další důležité body mohly slavit svěřenkyně Petra Čiháčka z Jíčína, po výhře nad ELITE rozdílem jediného gólu. Ještě vyrovnanější byl zápas mezi Židenicemi a Panthers, který po nájezdech skončil šťastněji pro Panthers.
